Our story
It all started with an online bookstore. To serve over 50,000 customers, we had to build our own tools: Mobile Money payments, order tracking, customer support. Nothing like it existed.
Talking to other sellers, service providers, and creators, the story was always the same. Same problems, same workarounds, and no real solution. Hiring developers was too expensive. There needed to be a platform accessible to everyone.
That's why we created Tama: to turn the solutions that helped us grow into an open platform for all African entrepreneurs.
