Introduction

Tama Digital, Inc. ("Tama", "we", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal data. This policy describes how we collect, use and protect your information when you use our platform.

Data Collected

We collect the following data:

• Identity information: name, surname, email address, phone number
• Business information: business name, address, business sector
• Transaction data: orders, payments, purchase history
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device used
• Usage data: pages visited, features used

Data Usage

Your data is used to:

• Provide and improve Tama services
• Process payments and transactions
• Communicate with you about your account and our services
• Ensure the security of your account and prevent fraud
• Analyze platform usage to improve it

Third-Party Sharing

We share your data only with the following categories of recipients:

• Infrastructure: hosting, file storage, custom domains, maps and country detection from IP address
• Messaging: delivery of emails and WhatsApp messages
• Artificial intelligence: WhatsApp assistant, writing, translation and image generation, where these features are enabled
• Payment providers to process your transactions (Mobile Money, bank cards)
• Standardized invoicing: submission of your invoices to the Benin tax authority, where this feature is enabled
• Logistics partners for the delivery of your orders
• Technical monitoring: error detection and diagnosis
• Legal or regulatory obligations

These providers may process your data outside your country, including in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, India and China. The named list, with each provider’s role and location, is in the annex to our Data Processing Agreement.

Google Calendar Integration

If you choose to connect Google Calendar to synchronize your bookings, Tama requests access through Google OAuth. We access your Google account email address and permission to create and manage a dedicated calendar that Tama creates for you (named "Tama — your business"). The integration is one-way: Tama only writes your booking appointments (title, date, time, and related booking details) into this dedicated calendar. Tama never reads, accesses, or modifies your other Google calendars or your existing events.

• We use Google Calendar data solely to provide the booking-synchronization feature you requested.
• We do not sell Google user data and do not share or transfer it to third parties, except as needed to provide this feature or as required by law.
• We never use Google user data for advertising or to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
• We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
• Your Google authorization token is stored encrypted and can be revoked at any time by disconnecting.

Tama's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections, and sensitive credentials — including Google authorization tokens — are encrypted at rest in our database. Access to personal data is limited to authorized personnel only.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your personal data only as long as necessary to provide our services and meet our legal obligations:

• Account data: retained while your account is active, then deleted or anonymized after closure, subject to applicable legal retention periods.
• Google Calendar data: when you disconnect Google Calendar or delete your account, Tama deletes the dedicated calendar it created — removing all synchronized booking events — revokes its access token, and erases the stored token and Google email address.
• On request: you can ask us to delete your data at any time by writing to [email protected].

Cookies

We use essential cookies for the platform to function (authentication, preferences). Tama uses no advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Merchants may, however, add their own advertising pixels (Meta, TikTok) to their store, under their own responsibility.

Your Rights

In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the following rights:

• Right of access: view the data we hold about you
• Right of rectification: correct your inaccurate data
• Right of deletion: request the erasure of your data
• Right to portability: receive your data in a readable format
